Battery Care Instructions

1)       Always fill distill water in  each battery cell individually after charging the battery, never before.

2)       Do not overfill the battery as it will lead to spilling of water and cause damage.

3)       Never discharge a forklift battery below a 20% state of charge. Discharging a forklift battery below a 20% state of charge will cause the battery’s voltage to drop and damage forklift.

4)       Recharge batteries after full use only. Do not charge in small intervals as this will damage the battery and reduce life. Once 20 % charge is left , put it for full 8 hours non-stop charging till it is 100 % charge.  Once that process is complete, it equates to (1) charge cycle. Regardless of whether you discharge the battery 30% or 50%, it still equals (1) charge cycle consumed.  Remember 1 battery has 1500 charge cycle life so maximize that fully.

5)       Perform Equalizing charge once a month. It reverses the buildup of negative chemical effects where acid concentration is greater at the bottom of the battery than at the top.

6)       Always keep battery top, links and side clean @ regular intervals
